Welcome to Aylesford Equine
Aylesford Equine is a family run business; it is the home of Peter, Sue and Louise Walker. Situated in the heart of the Quorn Hunting countryside, its set amongst 160 acres of beautiful undulating hills.
In 2000 we created a 4 mile X-Country schooling course diversifying from Dairy farming. From then we have expanded to a 3 course course with over 100 fences. Click here
Along with expanding the course over the years we built an All Weather Arena with B.S.J.A show jumps, which is available for hire to individuals, groups and pony/ riding clubs. Click here
2008 saw the sale of the family Dairy farm from there we concentrated on building further the Equine business. We built a small Competition Livery Yard, where we offer full and part liveries. Click here
The Walker Family
Peter: Runs the course and carries out all maintenance to both the x-country course and the livery yard, taking pride in making sure everywhere looks great and all the take off and landings are in as good a condition as possible.
Sue: You don’t see Sue much, but behind the scenes she carries out all the book keeping and paperwork side of things, as well as filling in for Peter and Louise when there off competing.
Louise: Since the age of 5 Louise has taken part in all pony and riding club activities, along with showing and eventing.
Louise has ridden successfully at Side Saddle competing at County level for many years, including being one of the team members in the ‘Patey Hats’ Leg Over Ladies Team Chasing Team. From there Louise concentrated on Eventing where she worked for 2 years with the ‘Lawrence David Event Team’ here she gained 3 rides, 2 of them at intermediate level. Wanting to build her own yard, Louise reluctantly left the Lawrence David Event Team to concentrate fully on the family business. At present she has a 5 year old that she is competing at pre novice level.
